Amazon Rumors Prove False Several
members have expressed the belief that, "it is difficult
competing against Amazon, because they sell the same thing, only
cheaper."
Because of comments such as these, a second, comparative analysis was run this week (as was done prior to launch) and, as before, it was found that our prices for the same product were substantially lower. It is believed that these rumors were founded on lax research, comparing the price of paperback copies of the same titles to our audio version. In fact, Amazon has very few actual downloadable titles at all. Of its audio books, 90% were found to be available only on CD and, including the shipping costs, proved much more expensive than our instant downloads. When promoting our Audio Books, it is important to make this distinction to your prospective buyers. Comparing instantly accessible audio books to used paper backs with the same title or to CDs which must be shipped is a case of the proverbial "apples to oranges" comparison. Members are invited to conduct their own reseach so they, too, can see the differences in price. They will find that our Audio Books offer the most competitive prices and largest selection for instant downloadable audio books available anywhere. |
